Abstract
The Bazman3 Au area in southeastern Iran is located in the northwest of the Bazman volcanic zone, in the Sistan-va-Baluchistan province. With the aim of identifying the potential zones of Au mineralization in the Bazman epithermal deposit, a comprehensive geophysical data including magnetometry, electrical resistivity and induced polarization (IP) were used in this study. Five profiles were used to perform the geoelectrical studies. The data were acquired using a polar-bipolar array with electrode distances of 20, 40 and 60 m up to a depth of 200 m. The interpretation of anomaly maps and geoelectrical profiles led to the identification of five anomalous zones (ZI to ZV) that considerably overlap with the silisification and argillic alteration zones. The ZIII and ZV anomalous zones are introduced as the areas with the most potential for Au mineralization. The results of this study can be used as a basis for planning exploration drilling and more precise 3D modeling in the future.
