Abstract
Due to the importance of studying fractures in increasing Enhanced hydrocarbon recovery,, and the fractures of oil wells (37 and 41) of the Karanj oil field were analyzed and investigated based on visual diagrams and fractal models.
The depth interval measured in one of the wells includes a small part of the cap rock (Gachsaran Formation) and the main part of the Asmari Formation. The highest and lowest frequencies of open fractures were observed in subzones 1-1 and 3-4 of the Asmari Formation, The Dip of most fractures in this well varies from 63 to 85 degrees in 37 NO.well.The highest frequency of layering was observed in zone 1-1 of the Asmari Formation.

The axis of the Bangestan anticline is N40W and its axis dip is 4.3 degrees to the NW. The model presented from the cross section of well NO. 37 and the fractal numerical models obtained from the study of the joints show that in the direction of this well located in the oil field and a few kilometers away from this field, there is an increase in hydrocarbon extraction.
calculating the fractal constant (dimension) of each station of the studied joints using numerical modeling, it was determined that most of the extracted joints have a dip of less than 90 degrees and drilling an inclined well in this area increases hydrocarbon extraction. However, most of the wells in this area have been drilled vertically,. As a result, the type of well drilling varies depending on the fractal constant.
